A Piece of sad news, very sad news stunned me, the whole class, or even the whole School of Business yesterday.
Here’s what had happened. I was
damn happy to have completed my Web Services Development Database part yesterday, was ready to give the teacher to mark. Then, the Director of School of Business came into our class and spoke to the whole class. He told us a piece of sad news, very sad. Our Statistics teacher, Mr Samik Nath had passed away, the Director said that he committed suicide dunno on Thursday or Wednesday, He jumped down from his own flat, at 12th Storey, at Yishun because of some family problem.
When I heard the news, I was completely shocked, stunned, sad. Life can be so unpredictable. A day before, which was Thrusday, we were supposed to have his lesson, but it was cancelled, we still blame him for not informing us earlier that his class was cancelled, which cause us to bring laptop for nothing.
Although he only taught me for about 5 weeks or so, I was always late for his class everytime, coming in at around 10.30am or even 11am when his class started at 10am. Because of his Indian accent which I could hardly understand, when he starts teaching non-stop, I was completely switched off, not paying attention, completely dun know what he was saying. The class all have a hard time trying to get what he say.
But Despite his accent, he was a Caring teacher, marking us present when we was late, helping us out for SPSS test, willing to spent time to clear our questions after school and have never scold us before, not even once. We all know that Life was hard for him in Singapore as he has no relatives here and he was trying very hard to improve the way he speaks.
The Director said that he suffered some family and psychological problem before that, he has an illusion that someone was stalking him everytime. He couldn’t express his feeling out and choose the wrong road, the most terrible road in the end. His body was send back to India.
The whole class had sent our condolences to his family through a card and put in some money to help his family. We were all very saddened by this news.

This is Life. We have to Live Strongly, Courageously and when we cannot take it, we must seek help from Friends and People around you, share with them your problem, don’t keep everything by yourself. We always believed that we can handle any pressure by ourselves but in the fact, we CAN’T. Death is definitely NOT a wise decision to make no matter what.
Cherish our life. Cherish everything around us. Life can be so Fragile and Unpredictable.
