The F1 over the last weekend was fantastic..
I’ve watched the night race live on Marina Bay as I got free working pass.
coz I was originally called for work on Sunday but ended up sitting down there ‘work’ as stand-by for only a few hrs. lmao. but still got pay ^^
After the work we were allowed to access to the restricted standing area inside and we watched the race free. hah. lol.

There was a big television screen in front of us and the car was also just racing on the track in front of us at the same time. Wad a nice view that was. The experience was fantastic thou there was a huge crowd. The cars’ engine roars and the incredible speed of the racing cars was wonderful..
The race starts at ard 8pm, it was a dramatic race and the result was unexpected..
The race started with Felipe Massa of Ferrari leading the way, with Lewis Hamilton behind, follow by Kimi Raikkonen, Robert Kubica and so on.
Everything change when Nelson Piquet Jr of Renault crashed into the barrier. He was the first to crashed out. His place of accident was very near to where I’m standing. lol.
I could see the debris of the car after he crashed. Safety car was called up. Piquet quickly ran across the road to the exit point and he can still waved to the crowd some more, in our direction after he exit. lmao.
The safety car has changed the race. Fernando Alonso has an advantage when the safety car was called as he is the first car to be pitted before the safety car comes in. Good strategy for Renault indeed =.=.
The real drama came when Felipe Massa encountered a comical incident while he was pitting. He leaves the pit stop while the fuel pipe was still attached to his car. This causes some of the pit member to fall and to be dragged by the pipe. Massa has to stop his car at the end of the pit stop which is distance away in order to get the pipe removed. He was also fined with a 10 seconds penalty for unsafe pitting.
The pit crew also has to rush all the way down the pit lane which is abt 100m or so, to get the pipe removed and some more, Raikkonen was also pitting straight after Massa at the same time. This is a huge blow to Massa. I can see that Massa sitting inside his car, looking helpless and like a little bit bui song. lol. he drop from 1st to 18th after the blunder. There was no way that he can get back unless miracle happened.
Massa sure gets freak out with the Ferrari pit crews. It was not his fault to leave the pit too early with the pipe still attached. It was one of the pit crew who gave the wrong signal. The crew gave a green light as a signal too early to tell Massa to ‘GO’. For Info: Only Ferrari uses the red/green signal to indicate when the driver should go. Other teams only use a ‘lollipop’ sign. Furthermore, this was also not the first time Ferrari makes this kind of mistake. Ferrari should consider to use the ‘Lollipop’ signal next time instead. =x
The race continue on. Alonso has chased up to 5th position. With Nico Rosberg and Robert Kubica in front but needing to serve 10 seconds penalty as they pitted while the pit lane was still close and Jarno Trulli crashed out later on.
Nico Rosberg of William Toyota takes the lead later on but Alonso soon becomes the leader when Rosberg served the 10 seconds penalty.
Everything went Fernando Alonso’s way after the safety car was called for the second time and this time Massa was involved. Massa gets spins out, causing Adrian Sutil of Force India to crashed. lol. Alonso should thanks the safety car as it has slowed down Nico Rosberg and Alonso could extend his lead after that. I can see that Massa has no mood to drive properly after that comical pit stop blunder. Lol.
A while later another Ferrari racer Kimi Raikkonen was in trouble again. He crashed out too with only a few laps remaining when he was in 5th position. He crashed because he was trying to overtake Timo Glock (the 4th Position) but failed to do so, ended up crashing himself into the barriers.
Disastrous Night for Ferrari. They finished out of points in this Singapore GP.
In the end miracle happened for Fernando Alonso, everything goes on his way. He won the race, followed by Nico Rosberg then Lewis Hamilton.
Alonso starts from 15th and finished first. He must also thank the safety car for his victory.
Felipe Massa came in 13th, second last of those cars which did not crashed out..
6th cars crashed out, did not finished the race.
Massa was only able to recover a win against Giancarlo Fisichella of Force India.. LOL..
Massa and Hamilton challenge of 2008 championship was also extend to 7 pts.
McLaren also takes the lead over Ferrari after tonight Ferrari’s Disaster.
Good Luck for Ferrari, for taking back the lead from McLaren on the next GP in Japan, China and Brazil.
Now, only Massa and Kubica has the chance to win Hamilton in the championship points. Hope that they both can race to their best for the remaining GP and Hamilton will encounter a series of problems. =x
